Dupond sentetik malzemeden imal edilmiştir.
Enstrümanın üzerine monte edilen bu aparata kuyruğu kuyruk başına monte etmek için kullanılır.
Montajın bu işi bilen biri tarafından yapılması tavsiye edilir.
Her iki ucu da vida yivli olan bu apart sayesinde kuyruk bağının gevşemesi mümkün değildir. Dolayısıyla kuyruk bağından dolayı akord kaçırma problemini bu aparat ortandan kaldırır.
Her iki ucunun vidalı olmasından dolayı kuyruğun pozisyonu milimetrik hassasiyetle ayarlanabilir.
